Fy Hanes – Biography
I was brought up on the beautiful Island of Anglesey, Ynys Mȏn, and am a fluent first language Welsh speaker. I am passionate about sharing my love of my homeland with visitors and those with a specific interest in the region’s history, whether that be its ancient, military, industrial or its art and architectural history. In addition to being an Official North Wales Green Badge Guide I also work as an Art Historian at both the University of Liverpool and in the Visitor Experience Team at the TATE Gallery in Liverpool.
In addition to my work as a guide I am also an accredited lecturer with the Art Society groups, one of my specific tours, for Arts Society Members and others, considers how the landscape of North Wales was instrumental in developing JMW Turner’s unique perception and sense of romantic sentiment within his paintings.
